So, all the teams will be asked to compile a list of players that they are interested in. 

The players from that list will be auctioned. It won't stop there. This cycle will happen one more time. 

For example, Jimmy Neesham went unsold just before few minutes. 

We will take Rajasthan Royals for example. We were inflating the prices of almost all the players. Our idea is to steal these players for base price later. 

In fact, I am just hoping that it's our plan. I am not confirming you guys anything. 

Anyway, we will get into today's show. You all gave your views yesterday. 

But Mumbai has stamped their authority to say as if, "If I return, I will return as a King." Am I right, dude?

Mumbai's playing XI is almost settled now. They did start slowly yesterday. 

See how beautifully they bought Anmolpreet Singh in the end. 

They will open with Rohit Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh with SKY at number 3.

Number 4: Ishan, Number 5: Tim David, Number 6: Keiron Pollard.

Number 7, they might go with the all-rounder Thilak Verma. Not many would have seen him. 

He won't bat at 7. I will guarantee you that they will play him at either 3 or 4.

They will open with Ishan Kishan and play either SKY or Thilak Verma at 4. 

Prasanna, it seems you are hyping Mumbai up to say as if they have formed a strong team. 

No, when compared to previous years, they look weak. 

But it looks like they have covered all the bases with Tymal Mills, Jofra Archer, M Ashwin, and Jasprit Bumrah. 

After which, they will get few overs out of Thilak Verma, who is an all-rounder. 

I will give you a heads-up on Thilak Verma. He played the last U19 World Cup for India and he is a tall left-handed batsman like a Yuvraj Singh.

He followed up with all the teams and went for the trials. 

In fact, even CSK went hard for him since they needed that left-handed batsman in their lineup too. 

He is a good cricketer. But I haven't seen him bowl. So, I don't know about that aspect of his game. 

But they have picked brilliantly, Nanee Sir. 

No, I am not saying that they haven't done well or anything. They have done well. 

But if you look at a normal MI side, you will see at least 7 of them playing for the Indian side. 

Remaining 4 will be some top overseas picks. 

So, only if they had a bad day, other teams might beat them. But now, it doesn't look that way. 

Now it looks like only when Jofra Archer is fit and back and joins Bumrah, they might go back to being formidable. 

I will give you an example. We will look at their record. When they play in Mumbai, let's remove CCI and DY Patil stadium. 

When the games took place at the Wankhede, either 2 or 3 wickets only fell during an innings.

With their batting, they will open with Ishan Kishan. 

They will play SKY at 3 and will have Thilak Verma at 4. 

If they play Tim David at 5 and Pollard at 6, then they won't have any problem for runs. 

Now we know why they were playing the waiting game yesterday. They wanted to go all-out on Jofra Archer. 

In fact, Sanjay Manjrekar and Akash Chopra said that Jofra not being available this year will be a massive hole for MI. 

But they have filled it with so many options. 

If you add Tymal Mills and Riley Meredith with Jasprit Bumrah, that attack will look threatening for sure. 

They have come in with a superb strategy. They don't even need Jofra Archer this year whom they have bought for 8 crores. 

But imagine Jofra Archer coming into the auctions next year. He would have definitely gone for 16 crores. 

So, instead of spending 32 crores, they have saved 8 crores by spending 24 crores on him. 

Now we know the logic for them playing the waiting game yesterday. 

Interesting picks, Pdogg. In fact, Sanjay Yadav told me that he went for MI trials who was observed by Parthiv Patel and TA Sekar. 

They have gone for Sanjay Yadav. We thought they will buy Anukul Roy, who has been there with them for three years to fill Krunal Pandya's role. But they have decided to go with Sanjay Yadav.

He was with SRH and he is a hardworking cricketer who plays for our league here. 

Him, along with M Ashwin are going to be their spinners alongside Mayank Markande. 

In fact, talking about Sanjay Yadav, I was doing commentary this year for TNPL. 

He is an extraordinary cricketer. His bowling is actually underrated. 

He is a decent bowler and a very good batsman. 

He can bat anywhere and he is a terrific buy. 

They have a backup for his role as well. And I don't think Jofra Archer will play this year. 

In Wankhede, Meredith will clock 150 KPH for sure. 

And Daniel Sams is not a bad option either. 

And he can hit some huge sixes at the end. 

You are saying that they will open with Ishan Kishan. But I don't think they will do that. Because he is the only left-handed batsman available at the top for them. 

So, they need him to shift gears in the middle-overs and so, they might send him at 4.

Anmolpreet Singh. He can be a dasher at the top. 

So, they will let him have a go at the top. Rohit Sharma can play the anchor role. Even SKY is someone who can bat both ways. 

Then imagine this middle-order with Ishan Kishan, Tim David and Keiron Pollard. 

If they adopt your strategy, then they can play Sams at 7. If they play one of Tymal Mills or Meredith, then they are set with the likes of Unadkat and co. 

I don't know about the spin department alone whether they will play M Ash or Sanjay Yadav or Mayank Markande. 

Maybe they will start with Mayank Markande since he has already played for MI.

M Ashwin will be in the scheme of things. Even when he was with Punjab, despite him not getting many opportunities, I haven't seen him go for 4-0-56-0 ever. 

He will somehow get away with a 4-0-33-0 even if it will look as if he was getting smashed. 

So, they will consider that experience and so, probably, he might start for them ahead of the other spinners. 

In fact, I don't see a massive difference when it comes to M Ashwin and Rahul Chahar in IPL scheme of things. 

Rahul Chahar is not a massive threat or an impact bowler either. 

M Ashwin is an underrated bowler. He has bowled in some tough situations for Punjab Kings. 

Absolutely. M Ashwin has bowled in some tough situations for Punjab. MI came fully prepared knowing that they may not be able to get their previous core but they will have decent backups for each role. 

Mumbai's strategy has been top class. I thought Unadkat will go to CSK but MI made sure they got him as well. 

PDogg, before we get into other sides. We need to talk about this 'team to beat'. He has a circle named after him in Bangalore. The strategy I thought that will be adapted by SRH and RR was nailed and executed by him with Punjab Kings. 

They have built a heavyweight side in PBKS, Pdogg. 

They look like a champion team on paper. 

Even if they take their half-decent explosive on to the field, they will be a handful this season. 

Mayank, Dhawan, Bairstow, and Livingstone. Livingstone has scored 100 sixes last year alone. 

They have Shahrukh Khan and Odean Smith as well. In bowling, they have Rabada and Rahul Chahar. 

Vaibhav Arora is another decent bowler. Ishan Porel as well. 

He is a good bowler. He has got a big in-swinger and did well in SMAT. 

He was too good against us (Tamil Nadu) and we were 23/6 in Dindigul, thanks to him. 

We were discussing yesterday on how their squad looks confusing and all. But today they were brilliant and I will get to them in detail when we rank sides.  

Punjab looks too strong. In fact, look at their backups, Pdogg. Prabhsimran Singh is their backup. We know how good he was when we picked him. 

They have backups for almost all the slots. For Indian seam bowling all-rounder, they went all-out on Raj Bawa. 

They got him for 2 crores and even if he fails, they can say, "Don't worry. We have a backup in an experienced customer in Rishi Dhawan." And they bought him for 55 lakhs.

They went all-out on Harpreet Brar and have bought him back. 

They have bought back their old fox Sandeep Sharma as well who is good with the new ball and has experience. 

And they have an inswing bowler in Vaibhav Arora. 

They have built an insane squad. Look at that batting. Liam Livingstone, Jonny Bairstow, Mayank. Jee, that's explosive. 

Their backup spin options look light or that looks set too, Pdogg?
